WHAT IS BAPTISM?
Baptism is a key step in the life of a believer. It is, in many ways, the first act of obedience to Jesus. At FBC, we rejoice at the prospect of someone expressing interest in baptism. Yet at the same time we are thoughtful and thorough with baptismal candidates. Afterall, baptism is a public proclamation of one's faith in Jesus; a testimony to the church of being dead to sin and alive to God in Christ, formally idenitfying, and signifying our union with, King Jesus and His people. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; Romans 6:1-4; Colossians 2:12)
