Dale SorgenPastor's Notes

Good morning and Welcome to Church!  I am proud to be a member of a Church that chooses to be a part of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC).  The SBC is a cooperation of like-minded Christian people and local Churches around the world who choose to pool their resources together to make a HUGE difference in this world for the cause of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

This past Sunday, one of our sister Churches in Texas experienced a horrific tragedy, which is almost impossible for us to comprehend.  I know that we all were shocked and began to mourn and pray with them immediately, as best we were able to.

But, not only did we do that, our staff of paid convention workers and also an “army” of Christian volunteers from thousands of our other participating local Churches swarmed to meet the needs of those people of faith; our brothers and sisters in Christ.

I am proud that we choose to be a part of something that is big and truly makes a difference in this world all around us.  When you tithe and when you build a discipline of weekly giving and thankfulness into your Christian life, you are part of this great “army” that is constantly being readied and prepared to respond.  I am proud to know that Gini and I, and all who give and tithe and serve, are part of building and sustaining this “army” to be the hands of feet of Jesus anywhere that tragedy strikes in this world.  May we always be found faithful.

Thank you Lord Jesus and bless us all as we strive to live faithfully and be good stewards of all your many blessings.

All for Jesus,

Pastor Dale
