Good morning and welcome to Church! On behalf of Pastor Tracy, myself, and our families, I would like to extend a VERY heartfelt thank you to our Church for making last week’s Pastor Appreciation Celebration so wonderful. I know that our wives and our families were truly blessed by the love that you showed to all of us.
I have been serving as a pastor in the local Church for a very long time now and along the way, I have had the joy of meeting and knowing many pastors who serve in other churches. And, as pastors do, we often talk about the pressures and strains of all kinds that come upon pastors. There is no doubt that it is a difficult “job” and I have become quite certain over the years that the only way you can make it as a pastor is when you know for SURE that you have been called by our Father to be a pastor/shepherd in His Church. I believe with all my heart that pastor Tracy and I have been called by our Father to be pastors in His Church and I know that we are sustained by His grace and mercy.
However, I also want to make it very clear that you all make it very easy to pastor and lead this wonderful church. The Holy Spirit seems to illuminate through the people at FBC and it does make our work much more pleasant and uplifting. So, for that, I would like to say thank you, even though thank you does not quite seem to be enough for what you do for us and for the way you love us and let us lead.
Please continue to pray for us and for our families, and we will continue to pray and lead this beautiful Body of Christ. I believe that our Father is pleased with the work we are all doing here together using our gifts to serve and love one another.
All for Jesus,
