Jesus “The Firstborn Over All Creation” in Colossians 1:15-18

  • Pastor Appreciation Day is NEXT Sunday. What a wonderful day to celebrate our Pastors by bringing a card, note and/or gift for Pastor Dale and Tracy.  This is a day that we can all rejoice and thank God for allowing them to shepherd our flock.  Join us right after service for a celebration of desserts.
  • Our hallway carpets really need a wash.  Can you come down anytime on a Friday (soon) and wash them for us?  We have the shampooer and supplies just need a person with a few hours to come serve in their church.  Please let Kelly know if this is something, you can do.  Thank you!

Please invite everyone you know to our upcoming Fall Festival on October 31st from 530-730pm.  We will need everyone to plan to be here to help minister to our community.  Please let Laura Anderson know what you can help with by emailing her at laura.anderson(at)fbcmonroe.org.  We need games built, candy donations, bakery donations, fun decorations done outside, cleanup crew, a photo booth person and more!

Join us Friday, October 6th for this month’s JOY potluck lunch.  This month’s theme is hearty soups and salads. See you soon!

Men be sure to join us on Saturday, October 7th at 8am for our monthly breakfast and fellowship.

As we just completed our third Awana night, we have discovered we could REALLY use a few more adult leaders in Rick Heides club, Eric Flickingers club and possible Kay Heides club.  With our ratio’s we must adhere to for safety and security of all our kids on campus.  Please consider joining us each Wednesday for the next 27 weeks to pour into the lives of our clubbers!  See Kelly if you can help.

Join us on October 14th at 9 AM as we hike from the town of Index to the top of Heybrook Ridge. This is a new trail (not the Fire Lookout on the highway). We will meet at the trail head on Index-Galena Road just across the river from Index. The hike is about 1.75 miles each way and ends at an overlook and a lovely view of Bridal Veil Falls across the valley. We can enjoy the fall leaves as well as some good fellowship and the view.

To get there, drive Highway 2 to mile 35.5 and turn left at the Mt Index Brewery. Drive about 1 mile, passing under the railroad. The trailhead is on the right – watch for the FBC sign. Hope to see you there!
