Pastor’s Note

Dale SorgenPastor's Notes

Good morning and Welcome to Church!  I would like to say thank you to all of you who allow me to be your Pastor. As we talked about last week, the calling of the Pastor can be difficult and can often be a very tricky road to navigate.  But, by Gods amazing grace, many of you have opened your hearts and you allow me to Pastor your lives and Pastor this wonderful Church.

We’ve covered a lot of ground since the day you invited me to come to be your Pastor.  There has been some rocky terrain and there has been some smooth ground.  There have been some hills and there have been some valleys. But you always see the terrain change when you ‘re on a journey.  I pray that we will never become content to stay in one place too long because if you stay in the same field too long, all of the fertile grass gets eaten and trampled!

We must continue to grow and follow our Father’s lead.  Where we are today is not where we need to be one year from now. Our committees and teams need to be stronger and more vibrant. Our volunteer base needs to continue to grow.  Our ministry teams need to continue to expand and our ministries must continue to grow and adapt to the ever-changing needs of those who are here and those whom we are trying to reach.

To be quite honest, our work has really just begun. I believe that God has positioned us at this place for such a time as this. We will be taking a sabbatical rest with our coming Summer Church Schedule.  While this is a time of rest, there will also be a lot of work being done preparing for the harvest season when we begin back in the Fall. I ask you to please pray about your service and your ministry.  How can I serve better? How can my ministry or my team be better?  What can I do to get myself more involved or to help get other people involved?

Ask the Lord and He will answer because our mission is His Great Commission.

All for Jesus,

Pastor Dale
