Good morning and Welcome to Church! Gini and I and our whole family would like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving this coming Thursday. I hope and pray that you will have a day filled with Thanksgiving and that you will be able to spend some time with people you love, and/or doing things that you enjoy and make you thankful.
I know that as this time of year comes along it can be a very difficult time for some people who are separated from friends and family. I would like to remind you that you are not alone. There are people who love and care for you and often all they need is just for you to tell them that you are feeling lonely, and you will give them the gift and opportunity of putting their loving arms around you.
Let me also please remind you that you have a Father in heaven who knows you very well, and He knows the sorrows that you feel, and He knows when your heart is hurting. He created you and He loves you deeply.
There is certainly a time for sorrow, but let’s always remember that it is just a season. Sorrow is not to go on forever because it steals the joy of today, and today is a gift. Remember that yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not promised. All we have is today and every moment is a gift that we should cherish.
I pray that this season might be filled with joy! As we celebrate Thanksgiving let me encourage you to be thankful for the greatest thing in life, and that is the gift of having salvation by repenting and believing upon the Lord Jesus Christ! He is the reason that we can have joy! JESUS! JESUS! JESUS!
All for Jesus,
